Coming out of beta... This week was...lots of drawing.
Updated some gameplay stuffs..
Chapter 23 update
Been busy adding a new combat mechanic...similar to one from Darkest Dungeon or Slay the Spire.
Lots of 3D work- shuttle, Triton, and the hangar (took forever to render a frame). Also the sleeping pods in the hangar finally has a background.
Some difficult scenes to write on this one...had to re-read and edit it so many times I don't even know if it's good anymore.
Lots o animations and stuff... combat had to basically be redone with new art assets. Painful painful process of converting everything.
Very very long week! Didn't think I'd actually be able to finish two chapters but it turned out okay! :)
Changes week were mostly on screen orientation conversion to Landscape (horizontal).
Small update... added mid-chapter save and new upgrades menu. It might introduce some bugs so please let me know if you see anything!
Now that the combat system is more or less fleshed-out, been pondering what would be a good stat system for this game...
Lots of behind-the-scenes update!
Finally getting around to fixing the grid utility & pathfinding issues from Antares days...
> Made some progress on the minigame section..
The first beta build of stellaren 2 is now available, it includes the first 8 chapters of the story.
Drew an icon for play store listing lol.
Working the alpha build, halfway done editing the scripts. I still wanted it to be entertaining to some degree even for an alpha.
'Average american reading capability is 7th-9th grade' - a bit insulting, but okay. Looks like I'm right within range.
The writing department's been hard at work churning out the scripts
Saw this artist's inspiring work and wanted to share. Very evangelion-ish.
Overall structure and game loop
After years of reinveinting the wheel of making script writing tools, I found Ink.
More character artwork from the past couple of weeks.
Work in progress assets I've been sketching and testing out in the past couple of weeks.
Rough sketch of NGC Soldier character art. Will be used later in Stellaren as an asset.
